Happy Birthday Gracie!!

This girl is 10 years old today....

I can hardly believe it, because it was just a couple of months ago she looked like this!!!

Just a cute little peanut who still had quite the attitude, but we loved her anyways!!

This girl is just full of sunshine...and a little spice. It would be boring if my girl didn't have a little spice in her! She may be Ten, but she's going on 16....I'm not sure if I will survive the teenage years with her.

She likes to argue about EVERYTHING!! Even if its not something bad, I swear she will find a way to argue about it. And she always has to have the last word in...

But she is also is such a happy go lucky kid. A drama queen most days, but most stuff just rolls off her back, or out her head, or through her head...
We refer to her as "SQUIRREL!" because of the dog on Up!, you know, Doug, and when he talks he gets distracted by the squirrels. Gracie gets a little distracted too, or sidetracked...
Its kind of funny sometimes...

Like last week when she was supposed to be vacuuming the kitchen floor. I found her 5 minutes in to the job, sitting on the chair playing with a shiny twist tie she had found on the floor. I told her to put it in the garbage and finish up. So she put it in the garbage and put the vacuum away...
I asked her why she didn't finish and she said, "Oh ya, I forgot."

And then her dad was bringing the kids home from gramma's and grampa's and it was late, so he said:
"Kids, when we get home, you need to get your jammies on and straight into bed."
Gracie: "Why?"
"Because its late, and you guys are impossible to get out of bed."
"Dad, I'm always impossible to get out of bed."
Amen, sista!!

But we love her soo much, and she is so much fun and I am so proud of her and all she does. She tries so hard (most of the time) and has such fun with everything how can you not?!?
We love you little girl. I cannot believe its been 10 years since you have come into our home and blessed us with the joy of being parents. Probably my most challenging but most rewarding child, I will love you forever. I hope that we will make it through your Pre-teen and teenage years together and fully intact, and come out on the other side the closest of friends.
I love you Gracie, now and forever!!
