One Cute Mistake...

You wanna see a really cute mistake?

Not the girl! Not my one and only daughter! She was definitely not a mistake. Even if she drives me crazy sometimes, she helps even the score when there are three boys running around my house. The girl is definitely not my mistake...
but that hair was...

Doesn't she look adorable?!
She wanted it cut up to her shoulders, and since I'm not a professional (and too cheap to pay $15 to cut my child's hair...) I didn't realize the slight head tilt that resulted in the chin length bob. I was a little worried she would freak out, because I can't put it in a ponytail, not even pigtails! But she loved it!

And so do I....I think we might keep this new 'Do' for a while...

Happy Birthday to Me!

So we had a pretty mellow day for my birthday this year. Poor little Cooper got a Ear and Sinus infection and Bronchitis, so we couldn't even go to church. So we were stuck at home.
What to do?...Mmmmm...

The kids decided that I needed a make over...and I convinced them that I needed a massage and a facial. So they brought out the handy Massager thingy, a wash cloth and the 'makeup'. Of course, I ended up giving both them one too (Cooper was catching some Z's) but all together very relaxing...most of it! Sometimes its hard to relax when the thumper catches the shoulder blade or spine, or when the 'Hair Dresser' thinks the Do needs a little comb through. But it was fun. They just used the pretend makeup at first, then Gracie asked if she could put on her other makeup...which consists of Sparkly Gel for the eyes and hair. I forgot to take pictures...oops. But it was pretty fun. Then we played Doctor and had a broken leg and 2 broken arms. I had to lay there for a long time while I got better...it was pretty rough, you know...I barely pulled through. Good thing there was cake for after!

My Mother's Day Gift...or....I am really Spoiled!

Guess what I got for Mother's Day...

Let me first say that I KNOW I am completely spoiled and am still unsure about receiving this present. I just got an ipod touch that was supposed to be Mother's Day/Birthday, but my husband informed me that he had already bought me a birthday present. I told him to take it back and he said no. So I was very surprised on Mother's Day when he and the kids presented my gift to me that morning....I even shed a few tears...
Can you guess?

I have always really enjoyed photography...And it really hit me when we started scrapbooking our family albums and we were dividing up the pictures and some years there were hardly any pictures...My mom felt bad, but film and developing cost alot and it was just not something you did often. I remember when Mom got her first really good camera, the pictures increased exponentially! Especially because I loved capturing all those moments. I used to make fun of my Dad because he always took 'Scenery' photos with no one in them...it used to drive me crazy...but now I realize that sometimes those 'Scenery' pics really help tell the story of your life adventures, as well as Life's Little Moments...
like this...

And a little bit outdoors too...
Even when I'm cooking....
Or when the water beads just right on my roses...
Have you Guessed yet?

Isn't she purty! Well you can't see the camera, but she sure does take beautiful pictures!

I have wanted one of these for a few years...and even last year when my little point and shoot died and I needed a new one, I debated whether to splurge, but I didn't, and I really liked my new little Canon, but when I started learning how to use my camera...and reading about the possibilities...I was a little sad that I didn't splurge. But I knew I had a good little camera and figured I'd dream for a few more years and then splurge. So my wonderful husband shortened my dreaming time...I love him.

So now I'll get to capture alot of Life's Little Moments with a little extra Artistic Creation...its gonna take alot of practise and reading...but it sure is fun!

Play Ball!

Brody got to start T-ball this year. He did a little last year, and was REALLY excited to play this year. We wanted him to start the Baseball/T-ball league (coach pitch basically), but his birthday was a little late. So we headed to the YMCA and signed him up for T-ball.
He was a little nervous at his first game, but by the second inning, he was right into it!

Here he is ready to get that ball...
The inevitable T-ball pile up...
First big hit of the game!
And of course, Cooper finds the bugs...there were a lot of Lady bugs this year, and Cooper was just fascinated with them.
I am really proud of Brody. He really likes to play and he is ALWAYS watching the ball. He doesn't pick flowers or look for bugs, he pays attention! Amazing, right?! Even when he's on base, they don't have to tell him to run, he knows when that ball is hit, he's running!
His Dad has been working with him a bunch too, and now we are not sure whether he should be lefty or righty because he's throwing with both!
Great job Broder! We are so proud of you!

Happy Birthday Cooper Man!

It was my babies 2nd birthday...can you believe it?! I was a little sad, so to cheer me up (and because we didn't want to plan a party this time...) Cooper and Daddy took me to Santa Barbara for the weekend... this picture speaks for itself...No where do I feel this relaxed than at the beach...

We got to play a little bit, but it was a little chilly at 9 in the morning...the children decided that 6 a.m. was a good time to get up on the weekend !
See those black things? Dolphins! They were crazy jumping all over the place...pretty cool.
Aww my little Kidlets!
Some more local wildlife...this guy was looking for a handout while we ate some fish and chips on the Wharf...never thought I'd say that line!
And lots on Sea Lions...even a couple swimming around the Pier.
My kids and Dustin with Santa Barbara in the back ground. Seriously, so pretty there, definitely going back.
The kids and I in front of the dolphin statue at the end of State Street, right before the Pier. We found a playground after walking around and again, I think that was their favorite part of the trip. Brody played on this one slide for like 60 minutes straight.
Then we stopped at Claim Jumpers on the way home for a little dinner and some cake for the
Birthday Boy!
I can't believe my baby is 2! Oh it just wasn't that long ago that he was a little baby boy ball that would just sit and cuddle with me! Now we can't keep him still. And it wasn't that long ago that he looked so tiny in his big ol' crib....and now he's in a big boy bed! Oh, little boy stop growing! At least I have pictures to help my remember the tininess....
Love you Cooper Man! Happy Birthday!
